Origin : Mediterranean border and west Africa

Properties : The orange peels are used for the production of essential oil. It is also the main source of flavors for liquors.

Principle active : The pericarp is the main source of monoterpeniques components as limonene (95%), Betamyrcene and aldhédyde as decanal, citrals and linalol.
Some Orange peel oils have very high level of carotenoids which make them interesting for the beverage industry
